In this documentation, you will need
WinZip, a un-zip program that is either provided by http://www.winzip.com
- Open your downloaded zip file with
Winzip
- Right-click on the file
- Click Extract To...
- (for non-registered WinZip
users, click I Agree.)
- Type in C: (if your hard-drive is not C: then type in
something else.)
- Finally, click Extract.

Thank you for downloading "Porta Carbon 1.2", which is a
skin for
"SysMetrix". It was actually made under Sysmetrix v1 but might
be usable on v2 too. |

Make sure SysMetrix and WinZip are present in your system. |
"SysMetrix" is a system metering program designed to monitor
and display certain aspects of your PC, such as the time (digital and/or analog), the amount of
hard disk space left on each of your hard drives, memory used, CPU usage in "graph" form,
etc..., as well as to monitor the recycle bin (even delete files on double click) and also, displays how many new
E-mail
you've received.
If you do not have SysMetrix v1, then this skin is useless. Go to:
http://www.xymantix.com
to download SysMetrix.
You also will need a un-zip program that is either provided by
operating systems such as Windows 98 and up, or use a third-
party folder un-zip program such as Winzip:

These examples will be used to describe the installation process: |

C: is where you've installed SysMetrix. Change this if you've
installed into another hard drive other than C: |
If you
have different specifications (eg.: You have an E: drive, not C:), please
substitute them.
Installing SysMetrix skins
have a small learning curve, therefore, is easier to install this (and
other skins found on the internet).

After you've installed SysMeter v1 on your C: drive, go to:
C:\program files\sysmetrix\themes\
•
Once you're there, make a sub-folder called Porta Carbon 1.2.
•
Take your downloaded zip file (presumably still zipped) and unzip it to
that newly created sub-folder created one step before.

Some people might complain that my
skin does not display fonts properly. In this case, copy the Quartz.ttf
font to C:\windows\fonts.

Load SysMetrix and right click on SysMetrix. Click SYSMETRIX CONFIGURATION from the menu that pops out. When its
window pops up, make sure you are in the THEME BROWSER section.

To select my skin, on the AVAILABLE THEMES items menu, select
"Porta Carbon 1.2" and click LOAD THEME, not SAVE AND EXIT.
You're done!
